He further added,” Jobs in Offshore oil rigs are well paid jobs. Even an entry level job can fetch good money. There are no on-site expenses in an oil rig as both food and accommodation are provided free of cost by the oil companies. In time the focus of graduate study programmes (especially quantitative disciplines such as mathematics, physics and engineering) will shift from training surplus "financial engineers" into producing more petroleum engineers as both schools and students respond to the altered pattern of salary and career incentives.”
